Etihad Airways is launching an international roadshow to recruit hundreds of pilots over the next 18 months, aiming to expand its route network and double its fleet by 2030.

The Abu Dhabi-based airline will visit eight European countries, including Cyprus, Bulgaria, Albania, Romania, Hungary, and Poland, before expanding its search globally. The airline is looking for pilots to operate a variety of aircraft, including the Airbus A320, A350, A380, and Boeing 777, 787, and 777 freighter.

“We recognize that pilots choose airlines for long-term career opportunities. We want to highlight the career progression and lifestyle benefits that Abu Dhabi and Etihad offer,” said John Wright, Chief Operations and Guest Officer at Etihad Airways.

Etihad CEO Antonoaldo Neves previously stated that the airline plans to hire between 1,500 to 2,000 pilots, cabin crew, mechanics, and engineers this year. This is part of a broader strategy to triple passenger numbers to 33 million and double its fleet to 150 planes by the end of the decade. The airline is also preparing for a potential public listing.

Etihad offers pilots extraordinary growth opportunities, including significant career progression and promotion prospects. Benefits for pilots include a tax-free salary, medical and life insurance, housing allowance, schooling allowance, relocation assistance, and a hotel stay for the first month. Pilots also receive flying and layover allowances, and discounted tickets for themselves, family, and friends.

Etihad’s recruitment roadshow will begin on June 29 in Larnaca, Cyprus, with sessions in European capitals including Sofia, Tirana, Bucharest, Budapest, Warsaw, and Vilnius until July 13. Pilots can register their interest by attending a roadshow event or signing up for more information on Etihad’s careers page.

The airline continues to grow its network and will soon start flights to Bali, Jaipur, and Al Qassim. Seasonal destinations such as Mykonos, Santorini, Nice, Malaga, and Antalya are also on the schedule.
