LOT Polish Airlines has received its first Embraer E195-E2, less than three months after finalizing the deal. This is the first of three jets leased via Azorra, expected to enhance LOT’s operational flexibility and support their network expansion. The E195-E2 promises 12.5% lower fuel burn and emissions, reinforcing LOT’s commitment to sustainability. All three aircraft are set to be delivered by October.

“Twenty years after our first Embraer E-170, we are excited to expand our fleet with the new Embraer E195-E2 aircraft,” said Michał Fijoł, President of the Management Board of LOT Polish Airlines. “These aircraft will allow us to increase flight frequency to select European cities, offering passengers greater comfort with the latest generation fleet. This introduction of low-emission aircraft aligns with our ‘Destination ECO’ strategy.”

Arjan Meijer, President and CEO of Embraer Commercial Aviation, stated, “We are thrilled to have LOT as the 17th E2 operator, continuing our long-term partnership. The E195-E2 is the most fuel-efficient, quietest, and least costly jet to operate in the small narrowbody segment.”

LOT’s fleet expansion with the E195-E2 is part of a strategic initiative to enhance their network and offer passengers improved travel experiences. The new jets will allow LOT to increase flight frequencies to key European destinations, providing more options and convenience for travelers. These aircraft, with their advanced technology and design, are expected to significantly reduce operational costs while maintaining the high standards of comfort and reliability that LOT is known for.

LOT was the first to operate the brand new E-Jets in 2004, with their first revenue flight from Warsaw to Vienna. The E-Jets have seen immense success, with the 1800th E-Jet, an E195-E2, delivered to a customer in May this year.

The introduction of the E195-E2 aligns with LOT’s environmental goals. The aircraft’s reduced fuel consumption and emissions contribute to a lower carbon footprint, supporting global sustainability efforts. By incorporating these modern, efficient jets, LOT is not only expanding its operational capabilities but also reinforcing its commitment to eco-friendly aviation practices, setting a benchmark for other airlines in the region.
