IndiGo Airlines announced that its airport systems are now fully operational following a temporary outage that caused disruptions for travelers. Passengers had earlier been advised to expect longer queues and slower check-ins due to the technical issue. Although airport services have stabilized, IndiGo is still working to restore some of its other applications.

The system outage not only affected the check-in process but also took down IndiGo’s website and booking system. The airline acknowledged the inconvenience caused to its customers and expressed appreciation for their patience as they work toward complete restoration.

The UAE-India travel corridor, one of the busiest routes globally, was impacted during this period. This route is vital for millions of Indian nationals living and working in the UAE, who make up the largest segment of the expat population in the region.

Earlier this year, a similar IT issue disrupted the aviation industry globally due to a software glitch in an update pushed by Crowdstrike, a US-based cybersecurity firm. The glitch led to system crashes worldwide, with many users experiencing the notorious “blue screen of death.”
