Ethiopian Airlines Launching Dhaka-Addis Ababa Flights
Ethiopian Airlines is launching direct flights from Dhaka to Addis Ababa on November 3, operating five times a week. The inaugural flight will arrive at 8:30 a.m. and depart for Addis Ababa at 9:40 a.m., enhancing connectivity for Bangladeshi expatriates and fostering ties between Bangladesh and Ethiopia.
In a significant move for Bangladesh-Africa connectivity, Ethiopian Airlines plans to launch direct flights between Dhaka and Addis Ababa starting Sunday, November 3. Notably, the airline will operate five weekly flights on this route, providing Bangladeshi passengers with seamless access to over 155 global destinations, including key cities in Africa, Europe, and North America.
The inaugural flight is scheduled to arrive at Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Sunday at 8:30 a.m. and will then depart for Addis Ababa at 9:40 a.m. Additionally, Ethiopian Airlines will operate flights from Dhaka on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday mornings, with extra flights available on Monday and Friday.
Moreover, representatives from Ethiopian Airlines and the Bangladesh Civil Aviation Authority are expected to attend the inaugural event, according to the airline’s statement.
Furthermore, Ethiopian Airlines officials express optimism about the new route, highlighting Bangladesh as a rapidly growing market. They believe that the airline’s modern fleet and high-quality service will effectively meet travel demands between the two regions. Consequently, it ranks as the fourth-largest airline globally in terms of the number of countries served, and it currently operates flights to Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, and Karachi.
