A routine flight turned tense on the evening of December 28 when a KLM Royal Dutch Airlines Boeing 737-800 (registration PH-BXM) encountered a hydraulic failure shortly after departing Oslo for Amsterdam.

The crew made the decision to divert to Oslo Torp Sandefjord Airport for an emergency landing. During the landing sequence, the aircraft veered off the runway, skidding into a grassy area near a taxiway.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported among passengers or crew. Evacuations were carried out using mobile stairs, with emergency responders quickly arriving at the scene. KLM has assured passengers that they are receiving necessary assistance while authorities investigate the incident.
