Saudi Arabia is unveiling $100 billion in aviation investment opportunities at the World Economic Forum, emphasizing its ambitious Vision 2030 goals to modernize airports, expand air routes, and develop advanced logistics hubs.
Saudi Arabia is set to make waves at the World Economic Forum in Davos by presenting over $100 billion in aviation investment opportunities. Through the Saudi House Pavilion, the Kingdom will showcase transformative projects spanning airports, airlines, cargo logistics, and ground services, signaling its ambitions to become a global aviation hub.
A key highlight of the presentation is the allocation of $50 billion for airport expansion and modernization, $40 billion for aircraft acquisitions, and $10 billion for developing advanced logistics hubs in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam.
According to Mohammed Al-Khurais, GACA’s executive vice president of strategy and business intelligence, the Saudi Aviation Strategy aims to triple passenger traffic, expand to 250 destinations, and achieve annual targets of 330 million passengers and 4.5 million tonnes of cargo.
The pavilion will also feature high-level discussions, including panels on landmark projects like the King Salman International Airport in Riyadh, designed to be a mega-hub with six runways. Discussions will further explore public-private partnerships to upgrade regional airports and emerging sectors such as Advanced Air Mobility and business aviation.
The initiative underscores Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, where aviation plays a pivotal role in reshaping the Kingdom as a global leader in the aviation industry.
