Qantas is set to unveil a new uniform for its 17,500 uniformed employees, marking its first major redesign in over a decade. The updated attire, scheduled to debut in 2027, aligns with the airline’s fleet modernization and Project Sunrise initiatives.
The airline is collaborating with top Australian designers and gathering employee feedback to ensure the new design reflects both functionality and style. This will be the eleventh uniform in Qantas’s history, following iconic designs by renowned fashion houses such as Yves Saint Laurent and Emilio Pucci.
Qantas Group CEO Vanessa Hudson emphasized the uniform’s importance in representing the airline’s global identity. She acknowledged the contribution of current designer Martin Grant, whose 2013 design has been a staple for over ten years.
This transformation coincides with Qantas’s investment in over 100 new aircraft and significant fleet upgrades, reinforcing its commitment to innovation and excellence in aviation.
