Tecnam’s latest twin-engine aircraft, the P2006T NG (Next Generation), has officially received certification from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). This marks a significant milestone for the aircraft manufacturer, further solidifying its reputation for innovation and efficiency in light aviation.

Unveiled at AERO 2024, the P2006T NG introduces several advancements, including an increased maximum takeoff weight of 2,844 pounds and fuel-injected Rotax 912iSc3 engines, making it one of the most fuel-efficient twin-engine aircraft. Consuming just 3.7 gallons per hour per engine, the aircraft significantly reduces carbon emissions—by up to 45 metric tons annually.

The P2006T NG’s cockpit is equipped with an advanced Garmin G1000Nxi avionics suite, featuring an FMS GCU477 keyboard for seamless navigation, a fully digital GFC700 autopilot, and the GI-275 standby instruments. Additionally, the integration of Garmin Flight Stream allows smooth connectivity with tablets and smartphones. Enhanced safety features, including LED position and navigation lights, improve visibility in low-light conditions. With deliveries now underway, Tecnam has already secured customers across multiple countries, including Spain, Denmark, Argentina, and Australia.
