Ahead of Ramadan, Flynas, Saudi Arabia’s leading low-cost carrier, has bolstered its passenger capacity by 25% with the addition of two Airbus A320neo aircraft. This strategic move aims to accommodate the surge in travel demand during the holy month.
With this expansion, Flynas now offers over 1.2 million seats for both international and domestic flights, underscoring its commitment to seamless travel experiences for passengers.
The airline’s fleet growth has been impressive, doubling in size with an increase of over 100% in less than two years. Currently, Flynas operates 46 A320neo aircraft, marking a substantial 73% capacity boost.
In preparation for Ramadan operations, Flynas also boasts four A330 wide-body aircraft, further enhancing its operational efficiency and service offerings.
These acquisitions are part of a larger order of 120 aircraft from Airbus, valued at SAR 32 billion, aligning with Saudi Arabia’s ambitious National Civil Aviation Strategy. This strategy aims to accommodate 330 million passengers and attract 100 million tourists annually by 2030.
With a network spanning 70 domestic and international destinations, Flynas operates over 1,500 weekly flights. As part of the Saudi Vision 2030 initiative, the airline aims to expand its global reach to 165 destinations.
