New Shuttle Bus Service for Baggage Transport at Dhaka Airport
Starting Wednesday, passengers at Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport will benefit from a new shuttle bus service for seamless baggage transportation to and from the Airport Railway Station and bus station.
A new shuttle bus service is set to launch at Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) this Wednesday, providing incoming and outgoing passengers with enhanced baggage transportation facilities.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) has announced that two BRTC buses will operate between the airport and the Airport Railway Station and bus station. This initiative aims to streamline the baggage handling process for travelers.
The service will be inaugurated by Roads Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader in the morning, with Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Muhammad Faruk Khan and senior officials from relevant ministries in attendance.
CAAB Chairman M Mofidur Rahman highlighted the importance of this service during a public hearing at the airport on Tuesday. He emphasized that the new bus service is designed to cater to the needs of returning passengers and improve overall passenger satisfaction at Shahjalal Airport.
To further enhance passenger experience, approximately 30 companies are involved in ensuring smooth operations at the airport. The public hearing was organized to assess service improvements and address passenger concerns regarding harassment and other issues faced during their travels.
