The event is expected to see participation from representatives of around 40 countries, including China and Pakistan, underscoring the region’s vital role in global air traffic.
Jointly organized by the Indian government and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) APAC, the conference will focus on sustainable growth and making aviation more accessible and affordable. Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu highlighted India’s significant strides in the aviation sector, with annual passenger traffic projected to reach 250 million.

The number of aircraft in India has doubled from 400 to more than 800 in the past decade, with airports increasing from 74 to 157.
Participants from countries including Australia, Singapore, France, the US, the UK, China, Vietnam, Indonesia, North Korea, Pakistan, and Japan will gather to discuss the sector’s future. The first ministerial conference was held in Beijing in 2018.
Minister of State for Civil Aviation Muralidhar Mohol emphasized the significant potential for growth in the aviation sector within the Asia Pacific region, while Civil Aviation Secretary Vumlunmang Vualnam noted the sector’s upward trajectory.
