Alaska Airlines is elevating its First Class dining experience with an exclusive new menu crafted by James Beard award-winning chef Brandon Jew. Starting this month, passengers on flights between San Francisco (SFO) and New York (JFK) can indulge in a series of signature dishes from the Michelin-starred chef, marking a new milestone in the airline’s culinary offerings.

Chef Brandon Jew, the mastermind behind San Francisco’s celebrated Mister Jiu’s, has designed a special menu that highlights his innovative take on Chinese American cuisine. The menu features luxurious dishes such as congee, black cod with silken tofu, and slow-braised duck with sesame egg noodles, all using premium ingredients sourced locally from the San Francisco Bay Area. The collaboration, which begins on August 14, promises to offer passengers a taste of Mister Jiu’s celebrated flavors at 30,000 feet.

This partnership aligns with Alaska Airlines’ commitment to showcasing the best of the West Coast’s culinary landscape, following previous collaborations with renowned local brands like Salt & Straw and Beecher’s Handmade Cheese. Chef Jew’s dishes will be available on select routes for at least a year, with seasonal updates to keep the offerings fresh and exciting.

Alaska Airlines is supporting Chef Jew’s philanthropic efforts by donating $5,000 to the Gum Moon Women’s Residence, a non-profit that aids women and children in need within San Francisco’s Chinatown. Chef Jew’s involvement in this initiative underscores his dedication to community service, complementing his culinary excellence.
