Pattaya Airways, Thailand’s newest cargo airline, has officially received its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand, marking a major milestone for the company. After nine months of intense preparation, the airline is now ready to commence operations with its two ATR 72-500 freighters, acquired earlier this year.

In a statement, Pattaya Airways expressed its pride in achieving this certification, highlighting it as a reflection of the airline’s commitment to high standards in aviation. The company is poised to start cargo services both domestically within Thailand and on international routes across Asia with a planned fleet of five aircraft.

In a strategic move to enhance its operations, Pattaya Airways has entered into a partnership with ACE Global Logistics. This collaboration is expected to boost the efficiency of its cargo services, while also expanding the business networks of both companies, positioning them for future growth in the ASEAN region.

With its Air Operator Certificate in hand, Pattaya Airways is gearing up to expand its fleet and service offerings. The airline plans to operate a total of five aircraft, starting with the ATR 72-500 freighters. These aircraft are well-suited for regional cargo operations, offering versatility and efficiency across short to medium-haul routes. The airline’s focus on regional connectivity within Asia positions it to capitalize on the growing demand for air cargo services in the ASEAN region.
