Riyadh Air Soars with New Partnership as Official Airline of CONCACAF
Riyadh Air teams up with CONCACAF as its official airline partner, marking a major step in expanding its global presence in the sports world while supporting football across North, Central America, and the Caribbean.
Riyadh Air, the ambitious Saudi Arabian airline, has secured a landmark multi-year partnership with Concacaf, the FIFA-affiliated football governing body for North, Central America, and the Caribbean. This strategic move positions Riyadh Air as the official airline partner of CONCACAF, further expanding its global footprint in the sports world.
The partnership will see Riyadh Air actively involved in CONCACAF’s extensive array of football events, including men’s, women’s, and youth competitions. This collaboration is a significant step towards enhancing the airline’s brand visibility and engagement with football fans across the Americas.
Riyadh Air, owned by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, views this partnership as a key element in its strategy to connect the world through sport, aligning with the Kingdom’s broader vision of establishing itself as a global sports hub. This initiative also complements Saudi Arabia’s aspirations to host the FIFA World Cup in 2034, highlighting the nation’s growing influence in international sports.
Osamah Al-Nuaiser, Riyadh Air’s Senior Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Communications, emphasized the airline’s commitment to football, stating that the partnership will bring fans closer to the game and enhance their travel experiences. The airline’s role as the “Official Airline Partner” underscores its dedication to promoting the sport and supporting its growth across the region.
Philippe Moggio, General Secretary of CONCACAF, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, noting that Riyadh Air’s global vision will elevate football within the region. The airline’s involvement will help expand grassroots programs and enhance world-class tournaments, connecting fans across continents and fostering a deeper passion for the game.
Riyadh Air, set to commence operations in 2025, plans to connect over 100 destinations globally by 2030. This partnership with CONCACAF follows the airline’s earlier sponsorship deal with Spanish football club Athlético de Madrid, further solidifying its commitment to football.
This collaboration also aligns with the recent partnership between CONCACAF and Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, which focuses on elevating football across North and Central America and the Caribbean. The deal will support various initiatives, including the Concacaf Champions Cup, the 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup, and the 2026 FIFA World Cup, co-hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the US.
As Riyadh Air prepares for its official launch, this partnership marks a significant milestone in its journey to become a leading global airline, deeply intertwined with the world of sports.
