SriLankan Airlines Introduces Gourmet Pre-Order Meals for Economy Class

SriLankan Airlines has launched “Serendib Delights,” a new pre-order meal service for Economy Class passengers, offering a range of gourmet meals designed to enhance the onboard dining experience. From Salmon Steaks to authentic Arabic and Indian breakfasts, passengers can now enjoy a curated selection of high-quality meals, including vegetarian and gluten-free options.

SriLankan Airlines has introduced “Serendib Delights,” a brand-new pre-order meal service for Economy Class passengers, offering an enhanced in-flight dining experience. The service allows travelers to choose from a range of specially curated meals before departure, ensuring that their culinary preferences are catered to.

Passengers can select from a variety of meal options, including Salmon Steaks, Chicken Lamprais, Fillet Steaks, Fish Fritters, Beef Burgers, Seafood Pies, and authentic Arabic, Western, and Indian breakfast items. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options are also available, catering to different dietary needs. Each meal is prepared using fresh, high-quality ingredients, with all options from Colombo and other locations across the airline’s network being Halal Certified.

Economy Class passengers can pre-order their Serendib Delights meal at least 48 hours before takeoff via the airline’s website, its 24-hour contact center, or through a travel agent.

According to SriLankan Airlines’ Senior Manager of Commercial Services and Support, the goal is to offer passengers an elevated dining experience at a reasonable price. In addition to the pre-order meal service, SriLankan Airlines also provides other value-added services like extra legroom seats, prepaid extra baggage, travel insurance, and Business Class seat upgrades.
