Saudi Arabia and France Forge Stronger Aviation Ties
Saudi Arabia and France have signed a pivotal agreement to enhance air transport connectivity, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030 to position the Kingdom as a global aviation hub.
Saudi Arabia and France have taken a significant step toward enhancing air transport connectivity between the two nations. Officials from the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation and the French Civil Aviation Authority signed a key agreement in Paris to boost collaboration in civil aviation.
The partnership aims to expand flight operations, increase air transport capacity, and strengthen ties between Riyadh and Paris. This initiative aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which seeks to position the Kingdom as a major global logistics hub, connecting 250 international destinations and serving an estimated 330 million passengers annually by 2030.
The agreement highlights a shared commitment to advancing aviation infrastructure and services. It also builds on the momentum of French President Emmanuel Macron’s recent state visit to Saudi Arabia, during which several bilateral agreements across various sectors were finalized.
Additionally, Saudi Arabia’s national carrier, Saudia, has entered a strategic partnership with Air France-KLM to collaborate on aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul services, further strengthening aviation ties between the two nations.
