Hamdi Osman, an UAE-based entrepreneur, is making waves in the air cargo industry after leaving a long career at FedEx to start his own venture, SolitAir. This new cargo-only airline promises to change the logistics game with innovative, fast, and reliable B2B services in the AMEISC region.

Osman’s remarkable journey began over three decades ago, starting from washing trucks at FedEx to becoming a Senior Vice President overseeing a massive global network. Despite retiring in 2012, he returned to aviation two years ago, founding SolitAir, which now connects over 50 cities within six hours of Dubai.

Since launching, SolitAir has expanded rapidly, with daily flights to Riyadh, Dhaka, and Hong Kong, and plans for more routes. The airline’s fleet includes Boeing 737-800 freighters that handle millions of tonnes of freight annually. Osman’s ambitious vision includes investing $40 million to grow the company and expand into Africa and Saudi Arabia.

Osman’s diverse career has also seen him become an angel investor and co-founder of Innoventures Education, but his passion for aviation remains at the forefront of his ventures. Through SolitAir, he aims to streamline air cargo logistics and meet the needs of the growing global trade market.
